The ladies of Nyla Simone Home, a home furnishing design showroom, are slipping into red dresses to host their Second Annual Nyla Simone Red Dress Cocktail party in recognition of National Heart Health Month and to benefit the American Heart Association.

Nyla Simone Home to Host Second Annual Red Dress Cocktail Party
The cause is near and dear to the heart of founder and owner of Nyla Simone Home, Maria Benson, who lost her mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother to heart disease. Coronary heart disease is the leading cause of death for American women, and twice as many women in the United States die of heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases than forms of cancer, including breast cancer and Nyla Simone Home wants to share this important message with their community.
While red dresses are not mandatory to attend, the party's theme is meant to inform attendees about the importance of heart-health and encourage annual health checks. The event will feature heart-healthy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres from Home Sweet Home Catering and health screenings from ProActive, as well as raffles, door prizes, and more.

Nyla Simone Home will be selling tickets to benefit the American Heart Association prior to the event, and winners will be announced at the event. Prizes include design services from Nyla Simone Home, handy man services, cardiovascular screenings, and spa treatments. Raffle tickets are $5 each, or $10 for three raffle tickets.
